A recent study has revealed that coffee may play a part in reducing the likelihood of recurring breast cancer. The study of 634 patients which took place in Sweden, found that those being treated with the drug Tamoxifen who drank at least two cups of coffee per day, had a significantly decreased risk of re-developing breast cancer.
But this is not the first health study to make such a claim about coffee, and the drink has been said to have many health benefits in the past as well as numerous prospective risks.

Risks
- Heavy coffee drinking can cause sleeplessness due to the caffeine content.
- High coffee consumption may be linked to an increase in blood pressure.
- Certain types of coffee have been linked to high cholesterol.
- Drinking too much coffee has been known to cause muscle tremors and increased heartbeat.
- Evidence has been published to suggest that excessive caffeine consumption during pregnancy could be related to lower birth weights in babies.
